The PNP Civil Security Group (PNP-CSG) and the Regional Civil Security Unit 3 (RCSU 3) will conduct a License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF) Caravan on August 29, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Alion Covered Court in Alion, Mariveles.
The LTOPF Caravan is a one-stop shop service that aims to facilitate the processing and issuance of LTOPF for qualified firearm owners and applicants. The caravan will offer services such as neuro-psychiatric examination, drug test, gun safety seminar, and fingerprinting. Applicants are advised to bring the required documents and fees for the LTOPF application. The LTOPF Caravan is a joint effort of the PCSG, RCSU 3, Barangay Captain Marcialito “Al” Balan, Mariveles Mayor Ace “AJ” Jello Concepcion, Fidel Murillo, RCSU 3 Chief Police Lt. Col. Ferdinand Aguilar, and the Mariveles KM 0 Eagles Club. The event is part of the government’s campaign to promote responsible gun ownership and prevent illegal possession of firearms.
The PNP-CSG headed by Police Brig. Gen. Benjamin Silo Jr. is the primary PNP unit responsible for the supervision and control of all organized private detectives, watchmen, security guards/agencies and company guard forces. The RCSU 3 is the regional office of the PCSG that covers Central Luzon. The LTOPF is a license issued by the PNP that grants a person the authority to own and possess firearms.
